Premier Wen Jiabao Meets with Chairman Saman of the Lao National Assembly

On November 30, 2004, Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao of the State Council met with Chairman Saman Vinhaket of the Lao National Assembly in Vientiane.

Wen said that the Chinese government attaches importance to developing good-neighborly friendship and cooperative relations with Laos. No matter how the international situations changes China will never change its friendly policy towards Laos. We are ready to make joint efforts with Laos to support the legislatures of both countries to conduct exchanges and cooperation and constantly push forward the all-round cooperative relations with long-term stability, good-neighborly friendship and mutual trust. Wen also extended congratulations to Laos on the success of the 10+3 meeting.

Saman expressed congratulations on Wen Jiabao's successful visit to Laos and said that the visit will strongly boost the friendly cooperation between the two countries. He said that the success of the 10+3 meeting is closely linked with China's support. The Lao people thank China for its assistance to Laos over years. Laos will continue to make efforts to enhance Laos-China friendship.
