Notice On the Adjusted Requirements of The Health Code for China-bound Passengers

To enhance the COVID-19 prevention and guarantee the China-bound passengers health safety, according to the latest prevention and control regulations of the Chinese government, the requirements for China-bound passengers who have completely received inactivated COVID-19 vaccines are adjusted as the follows: 

1. Starting from January 22, 2022, passengers who have completely received inactivated COVID-19 vaccines such as Sinovac and Sinopharm are required to take  two RT-PCR tests within 72 hours before departure instead of one RT-PCR test and one IgM & IgG antibody test within 48 hours before departure. 

2. The two RT-PCR tests at an interval of at least 24 hours are required to be conducted by two different medical institutions recognized by the Chinese Embasssy/Consulates in Thailand. The second test should be conducted within 48 hours before departure.

3. The definition of passengers who have completely received inactivated COVID-19 vaccines refers to those who have received 2 doses of inactivated COVID-19 vaccines with a required interval of 14 days. Passengers who have received 2 doses with an interval of fewer than 14 days should  follow the requirements  for unvaccinated passengers.

4. For Passengers who have received non-inactivated COVID-19 vaccines such as Pfizer, Biontech, Moderna, CanSino, AstraZeneca, Zhifei Longcom, please follow the previous requirements for this category( RT-PCR test and N-protein IgM& IgG antibody tests within 48 hours ). If the passengers fully vaccinated with inactivated COVID-19 vaccines also get inoculated with non-inactivated COVID-19 vaccines, please follow the category of the passengers who have completely received inactivated COVID-19 vaccines. 

5. The first RT-PCR test must be conducted 7 days before departure as the current requirements.  All the tests must be conducted by the medical institutions recognized by the Chinese Embassy/Consulates.

6. Passengers entering Thailand with tourist or any other types of short-term visas from a third country should follow the requirements of the notice on October 2, 2021《Notice on the Additional Requirements for the Health Code Applications for China-bound Passengers Transiting in Thailand from a Third Country》http://th.china-embassy.org/eng/ztbd/c1/202110/t20211002_9594608.htm. In addition,  one more RT-PCR test is required 14 days before departure. Passengers who have completely received inactivated COVID-19 vaccines do not need to take the IgM & IgG antibody test, while other requirements remain the same. The latest requirements for China-bound Passengers Transiting in Thailand from a Third Country will be effective from January 31, 2022.

7. Passengers who have completely received COVID-19 vaccines should take the flight 14 days after the last required shot. Fewer than 14 days will prevent the passengers from getting the green health code even with the negative results of tests.
