On 21 December 2021, H.E. Mr. Han Zhiqiang, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Kingdom of Thailand, and Mr. Suthep Kaengsanthia, Secretary-General of the Vocational Education Commission of the Ministry of Education of the Kingdom of Thailand, signed in Bangkok a Memorandum of Understanding on the Cooperation on Projects of the Lancang-Mekong Cooperation Special Fund (LMCSF) 2021. China will support Thailand in the Lancang-Mekong countries’ capacity building of technical and vocational education and training (TVET). 
    The Lancang-Mekong Cooperation (LMC) is committed to bolstering the members’ future development and promoting their peoples’ wellbeing and tangible benefits. The past five years since the establishment of the LMC mechanism have witnessed the China-funded LMCSF’s financial support in the implementation of three Thailand-led vocational education cooperation projects, which has constantly elevated relevant countries’ vocational education levels and provided adequate human resources guarantees for jointly building the Lancang-Mekong economic development belt and realizing the sub-regional economy’s sustainable development.
