The Handing Over Ceremony of the second batch of Pandemic Relief Materials donated by China to Thailand was held

On 29 June, the handing over ceremony of the second batch of pandemic relief materials donated by China to Thailand was held at the Government House of Thailand. Chargé D'affaires Yang Xin, Minister Counsellor of Commerce Zhang Peidong, Counsellor of Political Affairs Yang Yang of the Chinese Embassy, together with Prime Minister Prayut, Deputy Prime Minister Anutin, and other officials attended the ceremony. Chargé D'affaires Yang Xin, officially handed over the second batch of pandemic relief materials to the Thai side on behalf of the Chinese government. Prime Minister Prayut accepted them on behalf of the Thai side.

Prime Minister Prayut expressed his gratitude to the Chinese government for its once again assistance in aiding Thai's effort in combating the pandemic, applauded China for its progress in pandemic prevention and control, and spoke highly of the bilateral cooperation in the fight against the pandemic. Chargé D'affaires Yang Xin stated that the Chinese government's donation of the second batch of materials at the eve of the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Thailand spoke volume of China's staunch support for Thailand and China's sincere wish that Thailand would prevail over the pandemic at an early date. He commended that under the strong leadership of the Thai government, there have been no locally transmitted COVID-19 cases for 34 consecutive days, and that China hoped the two countries could arrive at an arrangement of Fast Lane as soon as possible, so as to usher in a new prospect of bilateral post pandemic cooperation.

The second batch of pandemic relief materials include 1.3 million medical surgical masks, 150 thousand test kits, 70 thousand medical N95 masks, and 70 thousand protective garments.
