The Chinese Embassy in Thailand Held a Handover Ceremony of Anti-epidemic Supply Donated by Chinese Enterprises and Friendly Organizations

On 13 April, a handover ceremony of anti-epidemic supply donated by Chinese enterprises and friendly organizations was held at the Chinese Embassy in Thailand. Charge d'affaires of the Chinese Embassy Yang Xin, Thailand's Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Public Health Anutin Charnvirakul and other officials attended the ceremony. 202 cases of anti-epidemic supply, jointly donated by the Bank of China, China Asia Economic Development Association, the China-ASEAN EXPO Magazine and other Chinese institutions to help Thailand defeat the COVID-19, including N95 surgical masks, ordinary face masks, protective garments and protective googles, were handed over to the Thai side.

In his statement,Charge d'affaires Yang Xin said in the face of challenges posed by the epidemic, China and Thailand and the two peoples have stood shoulder to shoulder and extended mutual support to each other, orchestrating a song of joint efforts against the COVID-19. The Thai royal family, the Thai government and all sectors of the Thai society extended solid political support and valuable material assistance to China at its most difficult moment of the campaign against the epidemic. China has also been paying close attention to the development of the epidemic in Thailand, trying all it can to help Thailand to defeat the virus. It has been sharing with Thailand in a timely fashion virus-related information, keeping constant communication on epidemic prevention measures, and promoting medical teams from both countries to jointly develop clinical treatment methods. Last month, the Chinese government, the Chinese Embassy in Thailand and some Chinese charity organizations respectively donated anti-epidemic supply to Thailand. The assistance this time from the Chinese enterprises and friendly organization, speaks volume about the friendship of "unity makes us stronger" between the two peoples, and is an epitome of the kinship of " China and Thailand as one family". Acted with the spirit of cooperation, China will actively coordinate domestic resources upon requests from Thailand and will try all it can within its capacity to help Thailand defeat the virus. On behalf of the Thai government and Thai people, Deputy PM Anutin expressed heart-felt appreciation to the Chinese side, and applauded the valuable assistance by the Chinese government, enterprises and various social sectors since the outbreak of the epidemic in Thailand.
