Ambassador Lyu Jian Met with Representatives from Thai-Chinese EXIM Association

On the morning of December 19, Ambassador Lyu Jian met with the representatives from the Thai-Chinese EXIM Association led by President kittipong Taeratanachai at the Embassy.

Ambassador Lyu Jian gave credit to the Thai-Chinese EXIM Association for their longstanding efforts in promoting pragmatic cooperation in economy and trade between China and Thailand, and thanked the Association for their support to the Embassy over the years. He pointed out that both China and Thailand are currently in a crucial period of development. The 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) has successfully concluded not long ago, and China, on top of becoming a moderately prosperous society in all respects, will embark on a new journey toward a modern socialist country, providing more opportunities and broader space for cooperation between China and other countries in the world. Thailand proposed development plans including “Thailand 4.0” and the “EEC”, which are highly compatible with the "Belt and Road" initiative. It is hoped that the Thai Chinese community, especially the Thai-Chinese EXIM Association, would seize the opportunity, exert its own advantages and play a greater role in promoting bilateral pragmatic cooperation.

President kittipong Taeratanachai briefed Ambassador Lyu Jian about the Thai-Chinese EXIM Association, and expressed the willingness to continue to encourage more members to participate in implementing the "Belt and Road " initiative and contribute to the friendly China-Thailand relations and the economic and social development of the two countries.
