Ambassador Lyu Jian Called on President Prem of the Privy Council of Thailand

  On November 7, Ambassador Lyu Jian paid a courtesy visit to General Prem Tinsulamonda, President of the Privy Council of Thailand at the Privy Council.

  Ambassador Lyu made positive comments on the development of China-Thailand relations and spoke highly of the important role played by the Thai Royal Family in promoting the bilateral relations, and thanked President Prem and other councilors of the Privy Council for their long-standing commitment to and support for friendship between China and Thailand. The Chinese government attaches great importance to the friendly relations with Thailand and is ready to work with Thailand to push for new progress of bilateral relations.

  President Prem warmly welcomed Ambassador Lyu to Thailand to assume his post and thanked China for giving the Thai Royal Family high-standard and thoughtful reception when they visited China. He said that Thailand attaches great importance to the friendly relations with China,, and he believes that through joint efforts, bilateral friendly relations and pragmatic cooperation in various fields will achieve greater development.

  Ambassador Lyu introduced the important achievements of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and the great significance and the far-reaching impact it has brought to the world. President Prem warmly congratulated China on the success of the 19th CPC National Congress and expressed his belief that under the leadership of President Xi Jinping, the Communist Party of China will lead the Chinese people toward even more brilliant achievements in development. Thailand is willing to further study China's advanced ideas and experiences in education and poverty alleviation and apply them to the development in Thailand.
