This year marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China (CPC). General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee and President Xi Jinping pointed out that “no matter how far you go, do not forget where you came from.” Looking back, we can clearly see that the CPC is the choice of the history and the choice of the people.
China is a 5000-year-old civilization with a splendid ancient history but a humiliated and tragic modern history. Since 1840, under the invasion of Western powers and the decadent feudal rule and the closed-door policy of the Qing Dynasty, China was on the verge of national subjugation. At that time, various political forces in China took turns on the stage of history and tried to save the nation through various “prescriptions” such as constitutional monarchy, the presidential system, the parliamentary system or the multi-party system, but all failed.
With its founding, the CPC has eventually succeeded in finding through its continuous exploration a path combining the advanced theory with China's reality for revolution, construction and development. In its unremitting endeavors, the CPC has always adhered to the people-centered principle and self-revolution. After a century of continuous struggle of the Party, the Chinese nation has finally achieved a historic leap from standing up, getting rich to becoming strong.
Over the past 100 years, it is under the leadership of the CPC that the Chinese nation has been able to turn its destiny from declining, end the humiliating history of the colonial rule, establish the People's Republic of China, and achieve independence and self-improvement.

In terms of national governance, the CPC has expanded the way for developing countries to move towards modernization, providing a new choice for countries and nations in the world who want to speed up development and maintain their independence.
In terms of economic development, China’s current annual contribution to world economic growth is more than 30%. The BRI’s foreign direct investment has exceeded 110 billion US dollars. It is estimated that in the next 10 years, China's cumulative imports of goods are expected to exceed 22 trillion US dollars, which will provide the world's largest market and valuable opportunities for cooperation to all countries.
In terms of international relations, the CPC adheres to the path of peaceful development, fosters equality among all countries, practices true multilateralism, and firmly maintains the international system with the United Nations as its core and the international order based on international law. We are ready to work with Thailand and the international community to jointly promote the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.
Facing the COVID-19 pandemic, the CPC has done its best to support all other countries. China has provided more than 350 million doses of vaccines to the international community, material assistance to over 150 countries and 13 international organizations and more than 280 billion masks, 3.4 billion pieces of protective clothing and 4 billion test kits to the world. In the next three years, China will provide another 3 billion dollars of international aid to support the anti-pandemic and post-pandemic recovery of developing countries.
The CPC has promised the Chinese people to finish the building of a moderately prosperous society in all respects by 2021 and a strong modern socialist country by 2049. On the centennial of the CPC, the first centenary goal of finishing the building of a moderately prosperous society in all respects will be achieved as scheduled. China has entered a new stage of development and is marching towards the second centenary goal.
