New Chinese Ambassador to Thailand Presented Credentials to King Vajiralongkorn

  On November 28, new Chinese Ambassador to Thailand Lyu Jian presented his credentials to His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn at the Dusit Maha Prasat Throne Hall of the Grand Palace, and then they had cordial conversations.

  Ambassador Lyu conveyed to King Vajiralongkorn cordial greetings from Chinese President Xi Jinping and expressed on behalf of the Chinese government and people the good wishes to the Thai government and people. Ambassador Lyu said that China-Thailand friendship dated back to ancient times, and that people of the two countries are like family members. China highly appreciated the irreplaceable and important role plaed by the Royal Thai Family for the development of China-Thailand relations over a long time. He believed that China-Thailand comprehensive strategic partnership of cooperation will achieve greater progress under the commitment and support of His Majesty King Vajiralongkorn. He is fully aware of his important responsibility as the new Chinese Ambassador to Thailand, so he will devote himself to further deepening the traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic cooperation between the two countries.

  His Majesty King Vajiralongkorn asked Ambassador Lyu to convey his cordial greetings and good wishes to President Xi Jinping. He said that Thailand and China share a close relationship and the two peoples are emotionally bonded. Thailand is ready to join hands with China to elevate Thailand-China relations to a new level.

  Ambassador Lyu assumed his new post in Thailand on August 25, 2017, and presented the copy of his credentials to Mr. Nadhavathna Krishnamra, Director-General of the Protocol Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand on August 28.
