Chinese Embassy Participated in the 51st Diplomatic Red Cross Bazaar

  The Chinese Embassy in Thailand joined the 51st Diplomatic Red Cross Bazaar held by the Thai Red Cross Society on February 24 and 25. More than 60 diplomatic missions participated in the fair.


  The Executive Vice-President of the Thai Red Cross Society Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn was present at the opening ceremony. Chinese Ambassador Lyu Jian and spouse, diplomats from other embassies in Thailand and representatives of the Thai Foreign Ministry attended the opening ceremony. After the opening ceremony, Princess Sirindhorn came to the Chinese booth, tasted the snacks made by the Chef team of the G20 Summit in Zhejiang, asked Ambassador Lyu Jian about the details of the Chinese booth, praised the Chinese booth for its rich variety of goods, and purchased some Chinese seasoning.


  Madame Pan Peng warmly introduced Chinese products and delicacies on display to visitors. The exquisite Chinese-style costumes, handicrafts, Maotai Liquor, tea, desserts and seasoning sold at Chinese booth were warmly welcomed by local residents in Thailand. A continuous stream of visitors shopped at the booth for charity purposes.

  During the fair, artists from Zhejiang Folk Art & Acrobatics Troupe presented an acrobatic show "Strength" for the visitors, obtaining thunderous applause from the audience. After the charity sale, the Chinese Embassy donated all the money raised from the sale and provided smart phones made in China as prizes for the lucky draw, gaining a high appreciation from the Thai Red Cross Society.
